Projet 151
Breaking the world sailing speed record
Our boat ⛵️
The project 🎯
Driven by a shared passion for sailing, we imagined and set out to build the fastest navigable sailboat in the world, capable of reaching a speed of 151 km/h.
Currently, the world sailing speed record is 65.45 knots (121.21 km/h) over 500 meters. Approved by the World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSRC), this record has been held since 2012 by Australian Paul Larsen aboard Vestas Sailrocket II.
With this ambitious challenge, we aim not only to beat this historic record, but also to revolutionize innovation in the world of sailing by designing a completely new kind of navigable sailboat.

Our history ⏰
Septembre 2021 - Avril 2023
The beginning of the adventure. After having carried out an initial modeling of the boat over the first few months, we rented a garage in Paris to build the first version of the boat (v1) by our own means.
May 2023
Finalization of v1 and launch in Brittany for a first test.
Juin 2023 - juin 2024
Development of v2 and establishment of a precise roadmap for construction, leveraging our experience acquired with the 1st version
July 24 - Today
Building v2 by our own means in a new larger garage.
July 24 - Today
In parallel with the construction, development of a new, more efficient simulator for the version that could beat the world record.
October 2024 - February 2025
Partnership with ECE Paris and 5 engineers for their final year project. The aim is to work on the development of the simulator.
Summer 2025
Launch of v2 built by our own means with validation of the simulator calculations on this version.
End 2025, start of 2026
Crowdfunding (Equity) to build v3 after validating the simulator calculations on v2 launched.
